The obvious first place to look is male genital mutilation. Nothing says “I’m afraid of horny men” quite like lopping off most of their erogenous zones and turning them into face cream for rich old white chicks. There are few areas of social concern which so blatantly flaunt sexist double standards upheld by fear of male sexuality quite so clearly as in this instance.
You’re Out!
That’s the magic for kids in sports. First you try and eventually succeed, but once you succeed you’re immediately confronted with what comes next. For those who don’t recognize the process it’s called life. Long before ever mentioning the politics of a team effort, at some point kids need to learn to make an effort and why. It’s the reward of being challenged and challenging yourself till you do succeed.
A Message to Lion Goodman
I just noticed the following comment by Lion Goodman, the man who will be hosting my appearance at the Ultimate Men’s Summit. I thought it was important, but buried on an older thread it was not likely to be seen. So I am posting it here with my response.
Misdirected Anger; giving dad a break
I feel it is important to start sharing my story in order to shed light on the women who are not held accountable for the mental and/or physical destruction they inflict upon their children. My mother’s anti-male brainwashing, albeit uncontrived in the sense that she wasn’t smart enough to be intentionally devious, was unprecedented. And for what? To have a lifetime of emotional control over her sons?
Choice for Men; Compassion for Men
We are the ones putting an end to oppressive gender roles. So I suggest that is what we let them know, and that we point out to them exactly why they are nothing more than a continuation of the old paradigm, enforced with shame and bullets.
The beast within
In explaining the behaviour of any organism, all that genocentrism provides is a black box and an accompanying assertion that “it’s all in the genes, you dummy”. Not unlike the Creationists’ God and their accompanying assertion that “it’s all in the bible, you heathen”.
The word on masculinity
I’ve got no problem with people wanting to ignore the fact that every civilization on the planet is defended by men. However, I take issue with feminists claiming that violence is a masculine trait. Note that I understand men use violence to protect others but that is not the type of violence feminists are referring to. They are talking about random and sadistic violence. They are talking about men who beat their wives and children simply because they can. Feminists put out commercials on national television, calling them “public service announcements”, which depict men beating women for spilling coffee and claim this scenario to be the norm for everyday families.
