The End of Men

As to contempt for traditional masculinity, I have none. I don’t even know that anyone can tell me what it means (though many try). I’ll save my contempt for stupidity and chosen blindness. Let the “patriarch’s” of the word have their folly. It matters not to me. I will be busy surviving as they march themselves and their unfortunate progeny into the grinding halls of family justice. We’ll call it intellectual culling, and the world will be better for it.

It is clear, beyond any conceivable notion of error, that this incident is a result of a culture of government sanctioned, no, promoted, violence against men in India. I will summarily dismiss, in advance, any notion that this was just an isolated incident and not sparked by the pervasive mentality of government authorities that men are legitimate targets for unjustified abuse on the supposed behalf of women.

Countering APA Mythology: A Response to Christopher Kilmartin at The Good Men Project Magazine

I think this presents a unique opportunity. First, it is good to see the people of SPSMM reach outside their insulated academic enclave and take their ideology into forums where disparate views are allowed and encouraged. I also note that while I do not agree with some of the material presented in The Good Men Project Magazine, I am encouraged that its management is clearly not interested in an editorial orthodoxy and is willing to showcase a badly needed discussion directly in view of the public.
