How to help a man die well

Death is never an easy thing to deal with, especially when it happens to a loved one. When his grandfather was diagnosed with terminal cancer Phil in Utah took on the responsibility of caring for him in his final days. Here Phil describes his experience and gives us advice how to help another person who is passing. Empathy works wonders for people, and it is something that we must all embrace, male or female. Vladek Filler describes his anguish after Kellett hearing concludes

Vladek Filler speaks to AVfM’s Acting Correspondent Scott Soley after the hearing in which Assistant District Attorney Kellett received a slap on the wrist. Filler describes the personal destruction out of control Kellett has had on his life and his children’s lives. All starting from a false accusation by his wife. However all may not be lost yet as Judge Gorman delays imposition till the end of this week. Kellett says she regrets what she did.

Death on the ‘baby farm’: part one

Think all serial killers are men? Think again – the evidence, long suppressed, of brutal female serial murderers is growing like wildfire, and even more disturbing are the often light sentences they received for their crimes – sort of like Mary Kellett, one might think. In another installment of his Unknown History of Misandry, our own gonzo historian Robert St. Estephe uncovers the grisly, hidden crimes female serial killers inflicted on the most helpless of victims for all the world to see.

Chivalry to save us from “The Reality”

There has been a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth in Camp Feminist over the sacking of former Prime Minister Julia Gillard in Australia. Is seems those mean old misogynists are at it again, and White Knights are needed to ride to her rescue – but only the crickets seem to care. Jim Muldoon explores “The Reality” – the real one. Can’t a weak widdle damsel get a break these days? [Illustration by Europa Phoenix]

Seven years in hell

Mix one part Violence Against Women Act, one part Patriot Act, one part Duluth Model, and shake like crazy. Strain and serve during court hearings over a rocky custody battle to a drug-abusing ex-wife. The toxic, teeth-rattling backlash will make chemotherapy seem like a cakewalk. Just ask our intrepid Della Burton, who saw the whole excruciating ordeal play out first hand. [Illustration by Typhonblue]

You will be next, then your children

JTO rips us all a new one for our indifference in the face of systemic corruption, both political and legal. It seems we’re all content to wait for someone else to fix it while we chow down on our cheese covered wacky fries watching the big game. When will men wake up and understand, that when the guy next to you on the firing line goes down, you’re next. [Image by Europa Phoenix]

Girl Writes What on the Mary Kellett Hearing

Girl Writes What[GWW] offers a searing critique of the corrupt and out-of-control Maine Prosecutor Mary Kellett that will burn your ears and light a fire under your ass. Maybe if we had more women like GWW in the judicial system–who are capable of seeing injustice and calling it out–we wouldn’t have so many men being thrown into the family court abattoir. Sit back and enjoy the GWW burn.

Radfem wretches in Toronto

Dan “DannyBoy” Perrins is deeply disappointed. He had plans to do more of his boots-on-the-ground video coverage and exposure of crypto-fascist hate groups like the RadFem conference leaders and attenders. Sadly, he has learned that they cancelled their event. We think they’ll probably find a way to blame us rather than the fact that they’re a bunch of professional hatemongers.

The case for the family union

Neil Lyndon returns to AVfM’s with the text that formed the basis of a speech he gave Parity AGM in London talking about his vision of the “Family Union.” Lyndon is a progressive whose career as a journalist was destroyed 20 years ago for daring to question, in fairly mild terms, the rhetorical excesses and underlying assumptions of feminism. Fortunately, he hasn’t let them shut him up.

Aimee Nicholls versus the star chamber

My sister Kitty aged 7 is currently prevented from seeing myself and our dad. I will never stop looking for her and informing her what was done to us. Sooner or later, somebody will have to explain to her why her family were taken away from her for no reason. We love you Kitty. [Aimee Nicholls Portrait by Jennie Nystedt.
