Debate: is feminism hate?

Is Feminism hate? Well we suppose that if you believe it’s about equal rights then it’s not. But we’re starting to get the sense that this “equal rights” thing is a shield for Feminism’s real payload. And that payload is it’s hateful misrepresentation of history known as Patriarchy Theory. And if you believe in the theory that men have oppressed women for thousands of years, GWW is gonna school you.

Team Kellett pulls fast one

Mary Kellett, the corrupt prosecutor in Maine, may still escape justice. AVfM has received word that a backroom deal has been struck for Kellett. With little advance notice, a hearing for Kellett was scheduled for the morning of Monday, July 15th in Portland, Maine. The system is protecting one of its own at the expense of men like Vladek Filler and we need your help.

[NEWS]But what about teh wimminz

BBC Women’s hour presents an information session on male victims of domestic violence. Well, no, actually, they don’t. They present a MISinformation session on how to perpetuate domestic violence apologia, blame victims for their own abuse and marginalize already marginalized group–male victims of domestic violence. Is anyone surprised at this point?

Villains and fools

The Atlantic’s Stephen Marche has published an incoherent mess, FTB’s Richard Carrier is trying to tell us to address men’s issues by shitting on MRAs, and others follow similar paths. According to AVfM’s very own Diana Davison it looks like The Establishment’s getting desperate. Or confused. Or constipated. Or maybe their mental souffle has simply fallen flat. Don’t be that guy

Obviously, without being told, you might just rape somebody by accident. Because that’s what men are like, right? Shit, without a constant reminder, that’s what you are like. Maybe you should tattoo a reminder not to rape on your hand… you know, just in case. Right? But saying that men rape that men need constant reminders not to rape, all of this isn’t demonizing, not in the slightest. Right?

India decides feeding men doesn’t matter

Forty percent of India’s population – millions of people – are impoverished. The nation has an epidemic of hunger, and thousands of homeless, mostly men. The government has decided to address the issue by initiating a food stamp program. The problem? They’re only giving food stamps to each household’s eldest female resident. This will leave thousands of men starving.

Our Dad

What happens when a parent in a dysfunctional family dies? Dr. F brings us “Our Dad”. A story from the heart that will hit all too close to home for those of us who have gone through the death of a parent who fell short of our expectations–but who we found it in ourselves to forgive anyway. Many of us will recognize ourselves in this story. [Illustration by Dr. F]

Snow Angels

From our earliest memories of childhood we can remember the challenges we overcome to become the men we are today, sometimes to the confusion and consternation of the women in our lives. If we were lucky, we had strong fathers to guide us on that journey. A Grumpy Old Man reminds us of how this all should work with a heart-warming and foot-freezing tale of boys passing the test.[Illustration by Europa Phoenix]
