This is what the system fears most – men actually waking up and remembering that they are men, and that men are valuable. Being crushed by incarceration can bring out the worst in men – and sometimes, maybe the best. Once you hit bottom, the way out is the way up, and even in hell, not all hope is abandoned.

She describes how pain and pleasure becomes linked in the minds of abused children; and how the worst abuse is the slow destruction of the soul by verbal violence. It is a hard, but important read. Erin’s humanity shines throughout, however, as she tries to “love the unlovable.”
Gonzo Historian, Robert St. Estephe has returned with a story that will seem very familiar to many fathers today. In 1936 William H. W. Evans was jailed for kidnapping his daughter based on accusations by his ex-wife; he went on a hunger strike to protest as he had a written agreement to share custody. The only difference to today? That written agreement actually mattered to the Judge. He was cleared of all kidnapping charges.
Mary Beth Williams of Salon is just an asshole. On the other hand, Amanda Marcotte is a professional hatemonger who has once again made her naked hatred for men plain for all to see. In response to a New York Times article on reproductive rights for men and boys–or more specifically, men’s complete lack of reproductive rights, both show idiocy and contempt. Vladek Filler has been silenced enough. We at AVfM are moved by his plea for justice and we present the complete statement of his ordeal, made before Justice Ellen Gorman who gave corrupt assistant DA Kellett a slap on the wrist and allowed her continue to abuse men and their families–although there may be a slim chance that the hearing next week changes this. Our hearts go out to Mr. Filler, his family, and all the men who will continue to face Mary Kellett’s rage-fuelled vendetta against men.

Mary Kellett is suspended then gets her suspension suspended. Justice Gorman has essentially cleared Kellett of all charges and Kellett’s only punishment was to say (paraphrased) “I’m sorry, I won’t do it again. Promise.” Before the decision was handed down Filler gave a moving statement about how Kellett’s criminal actions have permanently damaged his and his children’s lives. After the judgement Kellett was unavailable for comment.
