Demonizing a class of people for the crimes of a few is the hallmark of hate, and the tool of racists, sexists, and…feminists? Our gynocentric culture is quietly accepting of the routine hatred of men as a class, but awareness of this insidious malady is starting to spread, and Janet Bloomfield has had just about enough of it. And if you believe in the theory that men have oppressed women for thousands of years, GWW is gonna school you.
Obviously, without being told, you might just rape somebody by accident. Because that’s what men are like, right? Shit, without a constant reminder, that’s what you are like. But saying that men rape that men need constant reminders not to rape, all of this isn’t demonizing, not in the slightest. Right?
Dan “DannyBoy” Perrins is deeply disappointed. He had plans to do more of his boots-on-the-ground video coverage and exposure of crypto-fascist hate groups like the RadFem conference leaders and attenders. Sadly, he has learned that they cancelled their event. We think they’ll probably find a way to blame us rather than the fact that they’re a bunch of professional hatemongers.
“Society’s treatment of men throughout history has never been one that we can be proud of,” said Susan Brownmiller, who also said men were properrty. Well actually she said that about women. But as Della Burton notes, there’s far more truth to saying that it treats men and boys that way, these days anyway.
