They present a MISinformation session on how to perpetuate domestic violence apologia, blame victims for their own abuse and marginalize already marginalized group–male victims of domestic violence. Is anyone surprised at this point?

According to AVfM’s very own Diana Davison it looks like The Establishment’s getting desperate. Or confused. Or constipated. Or maybe their mental souffle has simply fallen flat. Obviously, without being told, you might just rape somebody by accident. Because that’s what men are like, right? Shit, without a constant reminder, that’s what you are like. Maybe you should tattoo a reminder not to rape on your hand… you know, just in case. Right? But saying that men rape that men need constant reminders not to rape, all of this isn’t demonizing, not in the slightest. Right?

“Society’s treatment of men throughout history has never been one that we can be proud of,” said Susan Brownmiller, who also said men were properrty. Well actually she said that about women. But as Della Burton notes, there’s far more truth to saying that it treats men and boys that way, these days anyway.
