I just got home from the Chicago Slut Walk. And all I can say, is what a complete and utter joke and waste of people’s time. What really brought home how ridiculous it was, is that there was a Susan Komen Breast Cancer walk today, and it had finished and they were heading to the train, and passing by the Thompson Center, and passed right by where the Slut Walk was gathering.
The vast majority of the people who were participating, were what you see in this photo. You have to love the sign. Sorry sweetie, but it ISN’T your sexuality that scares people.
This young lady decided that this was a Sport’s Illustrated photo shoot. I didn’t have the heart to tell her otherwise.
The best part of the whole day, was the young lady (rather good looking), that showed up wearing just a chemise, that didn’t quite reach down past her ass. A group of women who were standing nearby, were staring at her and I heard one of them say, “that just isn’t acceptable”. After she said that, she looked over towards me and I smiled at her, and said, “why isn’t it acceptable? Isn’t that what this whole walk is about? Or are you just a hypocrite?”. She at least had the decency to look embarrassed.
