Some have questioned the wisdom of AVfM calling out the extremist fringe that seems to have begun to hijack the noble philosohy of Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW), or even questioned whether such a radical fringe exists. TL;dr, who is not a Men’s Rights Activist (so far as we can tell) or a MGTOW (so far as we can tell), nevertheless has a good example of why calling out the fringe is an unpleasant but necessary task:
Despite whatever lies you may have heard, AVfM has supported MGTOW since the day it began, and will always support MGTOW, even MGTOW we don’t always agree with. What we will not support is FringeTOW, PigTOW, whatever you want to call them, spreading hatred and pseudoscience.
Anger is a legitimate emotion in the face of injustice. When anger turns to an unending hate and fear and loathing, it’s like drinking poison to get back at your enemies.
