Della Burton has been following the money, and it’s led her to the exploitation of rape and rape victims by Edmonton’s SSA. Until Men’s Rights Edmonton intervened, the only Voice being heard was the siren call of cold hard cash. To exploit rape victims for money, you first rob them of their agency. That keeps them suffering, and as long as they’re suffering their suffering can be farmed for bucks. AVfM’s printing-to-ripdown coverage of Edmonton’s postergate continues. Mix one part Violence Against Women Act, one part Patriot Act, one part Duluth Model, and shake like crazy. Strain and serve during court hearings over a rocky custody battle to a drug-abusing ex-wife. The toxic, teeth-rattling backlash will make chemotherapy seem like a cakewalk. Just ask our intrepid Della Burton, who saw the whole excruciating ordeal play out first hand. [Illustration by Typhonblue]
“Society’s treatment of men throughout history has never been one that we can be proud of,” said Susan Brownmiller, who also said men were properrty. Well actually she said that about women. But as Della Burton notes, there’s far more truth to saying that it treats men and boys that way, these days anyway.
Katie J.M. Baker, Erin Gloria Ryan, and the people at Jezebel are hypocrites and bigots. But you probably knew that. If you’re familiar with Reddit, you’ll also know this is true of the Stalinist group “ShitRedditSays,” and that the website Gawker is tied to all these thugs. If you don’t know about all this, Della Burton’s got an amusing story to tell you about some of their older hijinks, which just goes to show they never change.[Illustration by Typhonblue]
There’s a really good way to make money as a researcher. Declare yourself a feminist. Determine what the Feminist Narrative requires. Then do research tailored to what Feminist Ideology requites. Ignore data contrary to that narrative, highlight any that’s helpful to it. Demonize anyone who questions the narrative. It’s a nice gig if you can get it.
A Voice for Men welcomes new contributor Della Burton, with an analysis on the modern politicization of human genitalia. In the end it seems we are playing the same old game. Vagina good, penis bad. And we area playing it that way for a very familiar reason. Welcome, Della Burton.
