Confronting Dow Chemical on Misandry: Activism Fundraiser

The Dow Chemical Company has announced a virtual conference Tuesday, March 1st, called The Future We Create.  “Covering topics from mentoring young women and fostering executive leadership to gender differences, the hour-long virtual conference will address the issue of how stakeholders can work together to expand women’s leadership in chemistry and the sciences.”
Quoting from their Facebook page: “Did you know that only 15 of the 72 members elected into the National Academy of Science (NAS) in 2010 are women? : Join 60 of today’s leading minds for 60 minutes to discuss, debate and define how women can move the field and industry of chemistry—as well as other sciences—forward.”
The implication is that only when parity is achieved – in practice by ousting men from the leadership positions they’ve earned or eliminating opportunities for new male leaders – will their mission be complete.
Of course, this is all in an effort to promote diversity and inclusion.  Accordingly, all 60 of the conference speakers are women.
I thought that A Voice For Men and Spearhead readers might enjoy an opportunity to enhance diversity and inclusion on The Future We Create’s Facebook page by ensuring that men’s views are represented there too.
Accordingly, I will donate $5.00 to AVfM Radio for every pro-male comment posted on the Future We Create Facebook page, up to a maximum of $400.  [offer upped to $7.00 per comment by KARMA] Please also copy your comment as a reply here so I don’t miss it.  Note: You have to click the “Like” button at the top to be able to post (sorry).  If you do not have a Facebook account, you will need to create one.
As an added bonus, I will also donate $1 to AVFM Radio for every person who adds Paul Elam as a friend on Facebook and $1 to The Spearhead for every person who “Like”s The Spearhead Facebook page by the end of the week.

If you’re interested in crashing the conference itself, it takes place at 11 AM ET on Tuesday on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Warning: Link contains head shots of the conference speakers.
While you’re at it, why not use your new Facebook account to sign up to follow A Voice For Men Radio, which has just one thing in common with the Future We Create conference: it debuts Tuesday (at 9 PM ET).

Addendum: Future We Create is auto-deleting comments on their Wall, but replies to their own comments do not seem to be effected. It is better to respond to an existing comment rather than posting directly on the Wall.  And please copy your post here to AVFM in case it gets deleted immediately, so we will get credit..
