Former Gulag prisoner speaks out

The history of Soviet oppression is one that is still insufficiently explored and known.

Here’s an interview made by Lucian Vâlsan with Ivan Mamchyur, a survivor of the Kengir uprising.

One thing is certain though: the Soviets were quite egalitarian. They had no qualms in literally driving the tank over unarmed political prisoners – be they men or women.
