Dr. Joel R. Kramer of Philadelphia, PA, “Known Genital Mutilator” and manipulator

Dr. Joel R. Kramer has been placed on the “Known Genital Mutilators” directory at neonatalcutting.org.

He became known to us as the mutilator of baby boys when a “regret mom” appeared in a video calling out Dr. Kramer as a promoter of circumcision who pressured her to consent without vital information about its risks, efficacy, and ethicacy.

Here’s the video:

I’ll ask the doctor the same questions as the mom above along with some of her quotes:

Why were you so concerned about her son’s penis?

Why were you so dead set on promoting circumcision, but with no information given? Why no info?

She said no to circumcision, why ask again?

“No conversation – ever – about circumcision.”

“I think they’re practicing their religion on my son”

“I was blindsided – it was coercion.”

‘I feel betrayed by the doctor, the nurses, the country, and other moms.’

“It was all about manipulation.” “How dare you fast talk me?” “I have to do something about this.”

She complained to the hospital and met face to face with the nursing supervisor; “I think I taught them something.”

“End this.” “Name the names.” “Make it public.”

“With what I know now, I wish I could go back and embarrass that doctor.”

Done and done.

From Dr. Kramer’s website, Kramer OB/GYN and Associates:

When it comes to choosing an OB/GYN, you want a doctor who is not only well qualified, but also caring, dedicated and attentive to your needs. Kramer OB/GYN provides all that and more. Our full spectrum of exceptional care ranges from pre-pregnancy through post delivery, and covers gynecological care for every stage of your life. Advanced women’s care with the personal touch and one-on-one attention you want—combined with the level of care you deserve.

Dr. Kramer is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology with an interest in cervical pathology. He earned his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Kramer loves golfing and attending Phillies games, where his daughter is a ball girl.

As the mother in the video above testified, Dr. Kramer was NOT “attentive” to her needs, but manipulated her into consenting to surgery that she knew nothing about, and as an OB/GYN he doesn’t have the training to perform delicate surgery – albeit unnecessary – on baby boys.

From “Find a Physician” at Holyredeemer.com:

As a Catholic healthcare provider, Holy Redeemer expects that all health care practitioners adhere to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services at health system locations. We are committed to maintaining the highest professional standards while promoting our commitment to human dignity and the common good.

Perhaps Dr. Kramer or Holy Redeemer can explain how an unnecessary amputation of part of a baby’s genitals is an ethical Catholic directive that promotes “human dignity and the common good?”

‘Regret mom’ mentions the religious aspect of the push to circumcise, but none of it makes sense. For many years, only Muslims and Jews were ‘marked’ by circumcision for religious reasons, with Christians left intact, I guess also for religious reasons. Why Christians began circumcising and also claiming the high ground (above)  is just beyond understanding.

Further on, we read “Our Mission:”

OUR MISSION & VALUES
As a Catholic Health System, rooted in the tradition of the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer, we Care, Comfort, and Heal following the example of Jesus, proclaiming the hope God offers in the midst of human struggle.

OUR VISION
Holy Redeemer is a community-based integrated health and social service delivery and financing system sponsored by The Sisters of the Holy Redeemer. In a caring and compassionate manner, we will create innovative programs and services to enable people to live their lives to the fullest, while exceeding the expectations of all we serve. This will be accomplished by excelling at partnering and using resources effectively.

How ironic that their mission and vision of “the hope God offers in the midst of human struggle” and “services to enable people to live their lives to the fullest” involves baby boys ‘struggling’ against adults with scalpels that prevent them from living “their lives to the fullest.”

OUR VALUES

Respect — We revere all life as sacred and value each person as one created by God.
Compassion — We practice empathy towards each other, creating a healing presence in times of pain and struggle.
Hospitality — We welcome the stranger, guests and each other in a friendly and generous manner.
Holistic Care — We are attentive and responsive to the needs of the whole person: physical, spiritual, emotional and social.
Collaboration — We work jointly and cooperatively, networking within Holy Redeemer and with other systems and persons.
Stewardship — We care for all of creation, human and material, that has been entrusted to us by God.
Justice — We treat others at all times with fairness and honesty.

What a cruel joke – need I say more?

From Dr. Kramer’s website “Our Practice:”

OUR PRACTICE

Our mission is to care, comfort, treat and heal. We provide the highest level of care to women through all phases of their lives while helping them understand how and why their bodies function as they do. You’re more than just a patient, you’re a member of our practice family.

As a Holy Redeemer Physician Practice, Kramer OB/GYN and Associates has access to a full-service hospital with a maternity center that houses one of the area’s most advanced neonatal intensive care units and nature-inspired, completely private delivery suites and postpartum rooms. One of the greatest experiences our physicians have is bringing a life into this world and seeing the joy that child brings to his/her family.

Again, Kramer is trained to care for women who don’t own penises, yet he presumes the intact penis – that his God has made – is defective and in need of his correction. Circumcision neither treats a condition or heals any disease.

If Dr. Kramer’s practice is “rooted in the tradition of the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer” it’s ironic and tragic that the Sisters calling of “We are women called by the Spirit of God to … be a healing presence in a broken world” causes an infant’s “broken world” through mutilation, not “healing.”

Further on we read “Reverence for Creation:”

Reverence for Creation

We, the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer, embrace the call to be a healing presence in the world and to all God’s creation. We respond to the challenge to live in partnership with the earth community, through our simply lifestyle and in our ministry to others, recognizing that our actions impact the earth and earth’s people.

In response to this call we strive to raise consciousness and awareness of the fragility of the earth’s resources and seek out ways to better care for the earth and one another.

More hogwash, pretending they revere “all God’s creation” when they clearly despise God’s penises. On the contrary, it is intactivists who “strive to raise consciousness” and “seek out ways to better care for the earth and one another,” not mutilators who bring pain, misery, and sometimes death.

Since the doctor has incomplete information about circumcision and its risks, we’ve provided videos and research here at neonatalcutting.org.
