The Men’s Human Rights Movement has a new advocate – and isn’t she lovely?
Following in the footsteps of Big Red Bozo’s size 18 clown shoes, Australian media leech, newspaper columnist, social commenter and self-described comedienne, Catherine Deveny, has hitched her wagon to the AVfM juggernaut. She accomplished this feat using nothing more than (to coin a Dr F.-ism) her big gob – possibly a circus trick she picked up from her Canadian counterpart.
On 25 April 25, 2013, Australia and New Zealand commemorated A.N.Z.A.C. Day, our day of remembrance for those who served and died in all wars, conflicts and peace-keeping operations. It takes its name from the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps which suffered devastating losses during the Battle for Gallipoli in 1915. For nations with small populations, the massive loss of life (8,709 from Australia; 2,721 from New Zealand) in a single campaign seared itself on our national psyches as a tragic reminder of the wasteful carnage of war.
Catherine Deveny chose to demonstrate her respect for the men who died on her behalf with this:
Here are some of her other insights:
- ”Refuse to celebrate a glorification of war that ignores the suffering and carnage of (mostly female) civilians.”
- ”Anzac Day IS a glorification of war. They didn’t die for us but because they were risk-taking testosterone fuelled men with a pack mentality.’
- ”I adore men. I hate bullies, homophobes, thugs, racists, misogynists and rapists in the name of war.’
- ”Men only enlisted to fight for the money, for the adventure or because they were racist.’
Australians have reacted with outrage and revulsion at Ms Deveny’s comments – especially the part about rapists – with a backlash that will likely cause irreparable damage to her cozy career as a celebrated ‘social pest’ (her own description) and attention-seeking media whore.
Boycotts have begun ( http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2013/04/29/3747506.htm ). Mildura residents have made it clear that she is not welcome to broadcast her show from their local brewery which is scheduled for early May. Like all major country towns, Mildura has a war memorial that stands as a mournful reminder of the decimation of their male population after every major conflict.
A petition has been organized by the On-line Hate Prevention Institute to notify the Veteran’s Affairs Ministers of both nations of the public disgust over Catherine Deveny’s comments, and to express support for the commemoration of A.N.Z.A.C Day. It does not seek to silence Ms Deveny’s freedom of speech.
Catherine Deveny did not Twitter these comments because she is anti-war. She did it because she is a rapetard. She called these men ‘rapists’, not because they fought in wars, but because they are men – and all men are rapists. The Rape Culture narrative demands that she reaches this conclusion. It is in the script.
Catherine Deveny exposed the toxicity of her radical feminist world view, just as Big Red Bozo did the moment she decided to warble ‘Cry Me a River’ in response to the issue of male suicide. Both acts have given the public at large a taste of the misandric bigotry that festers in the black hearts of gender ideologues, and it has made the public at large extremely nauseous.
Any doubts concerning Catherine Deveny’s bitter hatred of men are dispelled by a perusal of her readily-accessible commentary. She has three children, all boys. This is her idea of exemplary feminist mothering skills:
‘Home with a 9 year old who has severe breathing and speaking difficulties. Closed in throat, assuming asthma/hayfever induced croup. My question is – do I get him to unpack the dishwasher or put washing on the line?’
Suddenly I was inundated by all these well-meaning do gooder busy bodies suggesting I take him to a hospital. A HOSPITAL!
I tweeted back:
‘I’m not taking a kid who’s wheezing a bit to the doctor. He’s the third of three boys. I only had him for spare parts. I’m spending the day teaching him how to blow smoke rings. After he’s finished mowing the lawn.’
A dedicated slut walker, she clearly adheres to the Zach Rosenberg school of burdening boys with rape-guilt:
“I’ll be at Slutwalk with my three sons aged eight, nine and 13. They’ll be wearing tee shirts that read ‘YOU‘RE NOT ALLOWED TO RAPE SLUTS EITHER’.”
Just in case you thought Ms Deveny had compassion for girls, she was actually fired from her job as a columnist at ‘The Age’ newspaper in 2010, for making inappropriate comments about 12 year-old Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin.
She wrote: “I do so hope Bindi Irwin gets laid.” At least she didn’t say ‘raped’, which is probably what she really wanted to write – feminists hated Steve Irwin. Remember Germaine Greer’s comment that he ‘deserved’ to die?
In a textbook example of Western middle-class, feminist superiority, Ms Deveny is comfortable expressing her distaste for the lower orders. This is her opinion of working-class people living in the outer suburbs:
“The reality is that it is impossible to watch these brainless retards belt the crap out of each other without enjoying it just a little.”
The Australian government showed its disapproval for referring to its citizens as ‘retards’ by (get ready for this) appointing her ‘Disability Ambassador for International Day for People with Disability’.
Needless to say, the ‘retards’ weren’t pleased. Apparently, Ms Deveny qualifies as disabled because she is dyslexic, a condition she passed on to her sons. No doubt, she assumes they will grow up unable to read the hateful crap she writes about men.
Perhaps most revealing of all is the interview she gave to the feminist website, ‘Mamamia’, in which we she desperately attempts to hide her self-loathing behind a lot of predicable blather about ‘my curves’.
“There will always be men who love big, voluptuous, buxom, ba-boom ba-boom women. They always have and always will…Any suggestion otherwise is people manipulating the world to make women feel NOT GOOD ENOUGH.”
“If women look at any of the stats or any of the scientific research about sexual attraction, men will always find the slightly overweight woman more attractive than the slightly underweight woman.”
“I went into Babka’s the other day and a woman I sort of knew came up and said hello. Then another woman I sort of knew joined us. The both admitted they were checking out my ‘awesome curves’ and then realised it was me.”
“You are not good enough. That’s the only message girls get from the media.”
Here is Catherine Deveny and her ‘awesome curves’.
Catherine Deveny is a deluded rapetard who has, until very recently, been allowed to flaunt her obscene belief in Rape Culture unchallenged. Making false allegations about dead men, whose lives were stolen by war, has been universally rejected. Now, all we have to do is make the general public care as much about civilian men who are actually living.
Welcome aboard Catherine Deveny. You have contributed to the public distrust of feminist demagoguery as only a rapetard can. We salute you.
