The recent influx of SlutWalkers has brought some unsurprising results. There have been threats of violence from them, repeated personal attacks and other actions of general stupidity.
I do strive to maintain an environment here where open discourse of complex and polarizing subjects is possible, but at times there needs to be some limits.
And since I am not a Slut Whisperer, I am going to have to employ the gavel to keep things on course.
So be it.
Here are the rules. They are not negotiable and are subject to being enforced immediately.
One, it is a given on this site that rape is a crime of sexual violence characterized by both the use of force or coercion and the absence of informed consent.
It is also stipulated that rape is wrong, no matter who the victim or perpetrator is, and that the donning of slutty attire is not equivalent to consent.
Read all that till it sinks in to your slutty little minds.
The arguments put forward by the articles on this site question the idea of whether a woman’s dress and/or behavior may place her at increased risk of a sexual assault, and whether they should be held accountable to the extent that they play a role in the occurrence of a crime that might have been prevented with better judgment and decision making.
That is the only debate going on here.
So if you come here to voice your objections to these articles, but insist on relying on the false premise that we are advocating rape tolerance, or absolving the rapist of responsibility for his or her crime, then you will be summarily removed and banned.
Also, since at least one of you has seen fit to make physical threats here, be advised that this will not be tolerated. In the future, any threats will result in banning and your IP address and email will be published on this thread.
Personal insults are permissible, but in the event that your personal insults outweigh the cogent content of your arguments on a consistent, or nearly consistent basis, you will be banned and your posts removed.
As site administrator, I will be the sole arbiter of these decisions and there is no appeal.
That should eliminate 95% of you from posting, because to date none of you have any real arguments to make. But in case there is a small percentage of you that want to make your case, either for your semi clad slutty walks, or against what is published here, you will be able to do so, as long as you act like civilized sluts.
