It appears that The Varsity, University of Toronto’s Student Newspaper, which has been operating for 133 years, has sent a student journalist to asked a lengthy and incisive list of questions about AVfM publishing articles about some of their female students, that would be Emma Kadey, Sophia Guo and Vanja Krajina, and putting them on the registry at register-her.com.
Well, the questions were actually not lengthy or incisive, but we are grading on a curve here. Actually, there were just two questions, and only one of them rated as even relevant in my opinion.
Seeing that it’s clear there is a bias in our reporter (ah, even in 2013 it continues) I thought I would share the complete email exchange, including my answers, in advance. When they run their “article” we can compare notes.

1. Do you have any affiliations with Dr. Farrell?
2. Do you believe that by profiling several of the female students who protested Dr. Farrell’s lecture and featuring one of these students on the website register-her.com you have violated their freedom of speech through vilification and intimidation?

1. Do you have any affiliations with Dr. Farrell?
No, there is no affiliation between Dr. Farrell and A Voice for Men. I have never even spoken with the man.
2. Do you believe that by profiling several of the female students who protested Dr. Farrell’s lecture and featuring one of these students on the website register-her.com you have violated their freedom of speech through vilification and intimidation?
No, listing a criminally acting bigot on register-her.com, profiling their bigotry, does not violate their freedom of speech. It is exercising our freedom of speech. They remain free to destroy private property, espouse hatred and harass young men trying to find solutions to the problems in their lives, though they may think more carefully before doing it, which is a good thing.
Thank you for the reminder. We got behind during the holidays. There are still more bigots from your school to put on the registry, and there may be more, depending on how successful the U of T is at producing more bigots.
