Hey you. Yes, you. Crunch time!

We’re about to do something that so far as we know has never been done before. At least, not quite like this, over an issue like this. You’re going to help aren’t you?

We need volunteers to put in a couple hours this weekend, for a task to be completed by Monday morning. And we need two or three hours of your time. Not your money, your time and patience.

Here’s the drill: you’re going to sign up and say “I can do a couple hours work.” And that work will be that, you get an email, with some links and a list and some specific instructions. You will be going to various web pages, collecting information, and pasting that information into a text file. There will be a moderate amount of web-sleuthing but really not a lot, as we already have all the links you should need. But you’ll be going to several dozen pages (each) searching for info, finding it, pasting it into a text document and then, when done, mailing it back to us.

It will be rather dreary, and your couple of hours of effort will look a lot like this:

Click, click, click. Copy. Click. Paste. Click. Copy. Click. Paste. Click, click, click. Copy. Click. Paste. Click. Copy. Click. Paste. Click, click, click.

Repeat.

It will be boring. It will also be subversive as hell, and may–just may–be a moment that begins to define a new era.

Are you in? It’s this weekend and we need a solid commitment. If you’re in, click right here and sign up for the mailing list before midnight tonight.

Your name will be kept completely confidential and your email address will be given out to nobody, not even other list members, unless you want it public at a later date. Otherwise, total anonymity for you. Your reward? Knowing you helped make something amazing happen.

Please only accept this mission if you know you can give a minimum of a couple of hours this weekend. If you can’t, you can’t, but if you can, like I said, click right here and sign up for the mailing list. We can pull you off that list after the weekend is over, or you can stick around and wait for future assignments. Up to you, but either way we need you this weekend, right now.

Did you ever want to FTSU? Here’s your chance.
