Dr. Ezekiel Young of Stony Brook Children’s Hospital in NY have been placed on the “Known Genital Mutilators” directory at neonatalcutting.org.

As far as Dr. Young’s statement about “current and accurate information,” he and Stony Brook Children’s Hospital are sadly lacking. Under “Definitions,” we read:
Newborn Circumcision – This surgery removes the foreskin or loose tissue covering the penis. It may be performed for religious, cultural or health reasons.
As Young can plainly see, the foreskin isn’t “loose tissue,” but tissue that is fused to the penis and not loose at all.
And, the “solutions that are as easy as possible” are to avoid and not promote risky and unnecessary surgery on newborn babies. “Easy” is taking your newborn baby home as a happy, whole baby, with all his intact body parts, not bleeding, traumatized, and untrusting of his new world and supposed “caretakers.” After all, we ban FGM for the same reason, so why does this hospital and Dr. Young make blood money on mutilating babies and selling their body parts?
Dr. Young and the hospital violate human rights law, the right to bodily integrity, the right to protection from physical harm, and their very own Hippocratic Oath, “First, do no harm.”
Nowhere does the hospital or Dr. Young give information about the risks and controversy surrounding circumcision, or the fact that it is medically unnecessary. You can read about that and view informative videos here at neonatalcutting.org.
