AVfM Radio to introduce children’s programming

We need some new archetypes for children.

We speak often (but not often enough) about how our boys are in trouble; in school and other ways often tied to fatherlessness. And we talk a great deal about the ill effects of chivalry and the mandate to protect and provide. We advise men about socially created princesses and document the destruction they do.

It only makes sense that it is time we started an initiative to address some of this where it starts, in childhood.

A Voice for Men Radio, which runs news, opinion and relationship oriented programming, will be adding a children’s program to the AVfM Radio lineup.

The show will present children’s stories with themes that encourage a positive identity, boundaries and self-respect.

A team of male and female writers has been assembled and some stories are already in progress. They will be produced and broadcast on AVfM Radio, available at I-tunes for individual download and also available in an illustrated text version online. If there are any illustrators out there that would like to contribute to the effort, please get in touch.

A start date will be announced in the future.
