Stargate was a successful TV franchise, based on the well known movie of the same name, that ran from 1997 to 2011. A recent attempt to produce a new Stargate series involving many of the original creators was recently axed.
This is a video by Youtuber Nerdrotic in which the axing of the series is discussed. While the subject matter may only be of interest to SciFi fans it’s an example of the how many problems and issues once talked about only in the pages of AVfM (and a few allied sites) are now very much mainstream. During this video it’s noted how Stargate was patriotic and portrayed the United States military in a positive light and how it focused on male characters. Nerdrotic and the others recognise the problems with woke and simply include them in the discussion.
