A short note of thanks to all those who expressed concerns during yesterday’s down time. The matter has been resolved. There was not an attack on the site; at least not of anything more than some incompetence from web hosting, and some ignorance on my behalf.
Lesson learned, though, with some added benefits. What happened was a good test of our redundancy systems and of the MRA’s that stepped up immediately to help. Both came through with flying colors.
And it was a good lesson for me, someone constantly trying to catch up to the learning curve on internet technology. All it cost me was one night’s sleep and a dozen or so spikes in my blood pressure.
In other words, a fairly typical day in the life of an MRA.
