‘Regular’ person David Fleischmann has been placed on the “Known Genital Mutilators” directory at neonatalcutting. org, highlighting the fact that it’s open season on baby boys. Read on and I’ll explain.

It’s open season on baby boys because it appears that the law and the medical profession have abandoned all standards of safety and ethics by allowing doctors to violate criminal law and their own oath, as well as allowing any Joe or Jane Blow with a self-proclaimed religious title to sexually assault and mutilate infants at any time and place.
I will not refer to these people as Rabbi or Cantor or any other title that infers respect and authority that is irrelevant to the mutilations they perform. Respect is earned and simply tacking on a title to anyone’s name who’s religion proclaims ‘holy’ does not make them qualified to perform delicate, painful, and risky surgery on anyone. They may or may not have been ‘trained’ by other “mohels,” but that does not give them a medical degree, something last I heard was needed to practice medicine.
In my book, non doctors should be barred from cutting infants, and doctors who do circumcise should have a medical reason for doing so. I will never confer any religious title of respect to anyone who abuses baby boys that hides behind that title for immunity from the law. If they can do it, why can’t a follower of “The Flying Spaghetti Monster” fondle and cut baby boys genitals, or any other organs for that matter.
That is what’s happening here. ‘Regular’ people are allowed to mutilate baby boys any time or place, under cover of a religious title, under no scrutiny of the government or the medical profession. You too can sexually abuse and mutilate baby boys – just say it’s being done for ‘religious’ reasons.
Then we read more about Mr. Fleischmann:
Rabbi Fleischmann grew up in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn. He attended the Mirrer Yeshiva throughout his primary school years as well as throughout high school. He continued in the Beis Medrash, the after high school program, where he formed a strong relationship with the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Shmuel Birnbaum Ztz”l. He also studied under Rabbi Elya Brudny Shlita, with whom he retains a deep connection to this day.
Rabbi Fleischmann continued his studies in Jerusalem, Israel for seven years in the “The Brisker Kolel”. During that time, he watched and observed the many skilled mohels that abound in that metropolis. He gleaned from their technique and expertise and ultimately received an ordination to practice from Rabbi Yehudah Gehat.
Eventually moving back to the USA, Rabbi Fleischmann joined the faculty at Yeshiva Darchei Torah where he teaches high school boys, sharing his knowledge and study methodology with the younger generation.
Rabbi Fleischmann resides in Far Rockaway with his wife and children. He is an active mohel using his proficiency and talent, coupled by his friendly demeanor to practice the skill passed on throughout the generations with finesse, deftness and sensitivity.
